A DNA microarray is a miniaturized hybridization format consisting of an ordered array of hundreds to thousands of DNA probes immobilized on glass slides. Applications of DNA microarrays include gene expression studies and detection of small differences between DNA molecules.The book introduces all up-to-date microarray platforms and their various applications. It has been written for scientists who are entering the field of DNA microarrays aswell as those already familiar with the technology, but interested in new applications and methods.
